When most seniors graduate they don’t know what they want to be so they would join a community college and from there they would find out what they want to become. This happen to Debbie Grant she graduated and didn’t have a goal so she took her time to decide what she wanted to become and one day she met the manager at a hotel and she gave Debbie a job. Sometimes people will put you as a lower employee but you will move up to the top and someday you will be the highest… such as a manager. Most hotel employees like Brian Chambers started off as a front desk clerk and he was promoted and now he is a IT system coordinator because he is good with computers. Most employees start off slow and low then when it is time for their promotion they become busier and they are on top of the front desk clerks. If you are to work in a hotel, there are no holidays off what so ever. So if you don’t know what to be when you graduate just take your time to decide and some day you might be a manager for some sort of company.

a growning field

To be an organic farmer you have no days off because you are responsible for everything. It is not for anyone but most students try it just to experience it, the schools in Michigan let students understand farming. Most organic farmers don’t expect to become rich they usually sell their products on their own and their salary was $15,603 a year. It takes a while to get rich soil without any chemicals and change the seeds that move pest, if there’s pest the lady bug will be needed to eat it. Most farmers hire new farmers when they retire so the other will run the old farm and it will remain there. Some students also go to a different country and try farming out there to see and experience the climate out there. Farmers get worried at times because they notice the fertilizer has chemicals in it and it is toxic and it burns certain things and they don’t want it to hurt the living things around their farms. But to become a small scale farmer you have to go through all the farming experience such as marketing and running your own bussiness because of the environmental issues.

About 28 million people are deaf and to the national association of the deaf, 10% of the U.S. populations need help with health services and more. To the students that are learning how to speak sign language they say it is very difficult, they give an advice “never give up”. Of course all other languages are complicated it’s because you are learning and starting to understand it, that is how sign language is too. Some teachers say it is very exciting to work with children because when you’re telling a story you become the character from the story. And sometimes it is sad telling people that they have cancer. The interpreters say that they’re hands don’t get tired but they’re brain gets tired from the conversation that lasts more than 20 minutes. And when a group is taking turns they say you’re never really off from the break you have to take. Most deaf people may sometimes think if they are really connected to the deaf community by their facial expressions. Katie Forstrom from New Jersey studying ASL says it will be fun for you to learn sign language and maybe complicated at first but it’s not the end of it.

caring for the big guys

To be a veterinarian you don’t HAVE to work with dogs and cats you can also work with large animals such as horses, cows, giraffes, and so forth. To be a large animal veterinarian you have to love animals, be good in science, love the outdoors, spend time with large animals, and to be physically fit. When you become a vet they will put you in a busy schedule just for you to get the hang of it. But you get used to your job and more workers start you get help, about 50-60 hours per week. Sometimes the patient will not be comfortable so he might fight back or be afraid and try to hurt you. There are a lot of people who want to become veterinarians so it is somewhat difficult to become a doctor. To enter in a veterinarian program, candidates must obtain you to an undergraduate degree, once admitted to a veterinary school you have to study for 4 years to earn your doctor of veterinary medicine degree. Not all vets work with animals they also teach others to become a vet, do clinical services, employ at a zoo or theme parks or they’re on staff at major meat producing companies.

Text messaging and email usages are complicated to adults because they are into the old way of communicating with others. They usually communicate face to face or just talking on the phone. Most teens communicate trough texting and emailing because they say it’s easier and faster to communicate with one another. Most people that work use emails and don’t really get the idea of what to really say to others because the reader might get the wrong idea of what the other person was suppose to say. Most adults do because they use a lot of grammar in writing to others. A lot of people still don’t know how to really use emailing or text messaging because they usually write a real letter and face to face communicating and it is a lot easier but teens usually prefer texting. There are a lot of new phones and computer that are coming out and most have emailing and A LOT of text messaging on them. Most teens prefer these phones and to the adults it’s complicated. And most phones have internet connections for them to buy things like shipping. And a lot of teens set dates to go out or tell each other their personal information’s and you are not suppose to do that.

Navigating The College Fair

Going to the college fair is very helpful! You get to know more about different colleges near you or away from you. And if you did a specific research about the college you want to go to you might learn more information about it. It will narrow your choices and interact with others like the college representatives and councilors. Most representatives expect questions they want to know if you are interested in that specific college, they want to answer questions that are not found on the brochures. They would have to make you fill out a contact card to send you more information about the college you are interested in. some students go when they are juniors to experience it and some seniors take their parents or their peers to be more comfortable or go alone to be more open. Some parents want to go to see how the college is to see where their child is going. Most students go with peers because they are comfortable with each other or they plan to go to the same college. At the end of the gathering you are able to choose a college easier and not so frustrated about it anymore. It’s not that much complicated when you go to these college fairs.

Two candidates are running for president and one will remain here for 4 years to control the United States. The 3 big issues are economy, war in Iraq, and energy. A lot of people are voting for Barack Obama because they think he will do a good job on handling the economy and energy but others think John McCain will do a better job on handling the war in Iraq.
Personally I would say Barack Obama will do a better job controlling the United States because he thinks very positive and saving the troops in Iraq. I think it is a very good idea to pull the troops out of Iraq because most troops died, their lives are in danger, and they have families to be with and that’s what makes they families more stressed. The war doesn’t solve anything, it just destroys they environment. Barack Obama has good ideas about helping the United States but will he have his word for it?
He is also right about the gas prices it is way too high and most people can’t afford gas and some people are mad about his idea with taxes. But having middle class and lower class not pay taxes are great because most have big families and they cant handle everything at once. And the upper class should pay taxes… aren’t they rich enough to pay for it? It is a great idea that people should vote for Barack Obama because he thinks of safer things for America’s sake!

FLY HIGH

In my opinion becoming a pilot would be a risky job but at the same time it would be exciting and interesting.
There are many fields as a pilot, such as flying passengers across the country, pilots for the military, cargo pilots, rescue pilots, test pilot, commercial airline pilot, and a flight instructor. To become a pilot you have to most likely take math, English, science, and geography classes. You would have to take flight lessons first and pay the instructor at least 100 dollars at minimum for his time and his plane. To get you license to become a pilot you have to be 17 years old. A lot of students still think it’s risky to be a pilot after the 9/11 occurred.
Most people become pilots because it’s their dream or they are interested in what else a pilot does instead of just flying. When they get find out they want to learn more and become an instructor to others who want to become a pilot. Not only smart people can go anyone can go, the teachers there are able to help you become a pilot. All you need is flight lessons and go to college for it. They also have scholarships to become a pilot; they pay your tuition and your flight lessons.

Game On

A lot of people play video games and most people think it is just for kids and teens but parents play it also. Well most adults love games also not just video games but also fitness or dance games and educational and instructional games. The people who invent the games take them months or even years just to create one single game. People go to college or a university to become a game designer and they begin training the students. The more people play video games the more games are made. About a year ago the government and some concerned parents complained about some of the games that are created were too violent. But nothing was done they just didn’t want kids under eighteen to buy or play that game. Games that have to deal with war, killings or fighting’s. But the game designer didn’t do anything he just kept creating games

gobs of green jobs

Before the global warming a lot of people didn’t realize how the world is. A lot of people work on helping the earth and endangered species. Some industries got carried away with destroying the forests and that’s another reason why we don’t have that much oxygen and the animals die. It’s obviously the humans destroyed the world it’s our fault that the world is not so healthy. Now that we all know that the earth and animals are endangered we are seeking help and cures. If people leave animals and forests alone or not that much pollution we wont have to worry that much. Why didn’t we think of keeping the nature as it is? If we did we wouldn’t worry that much. We don’t need chemicals or other toxicants to keep the earth clean. That just makes the earth worst. Now people are working so hard to keep the earth natural as possible. People such as technicians, scientists, rangers, engineers, carpenters, architects, construction workers.A lot of factories are going green even colleges and universities to help keep the world natural and clean. They are using energy efficient homes and recycling. Some are competing to be the greenest and keeping the nature healthy and safe.
